Story and Mission

Compass began with one student—me—full of dreams but without guidance, mentors, or knowing God’s love. I made painful mistakes because I didn’t know a better way existed. That’s when Compass started: to help one student, one youth group, one school discover truth and purpose through Jesus.

Now, six years later, Compass is a multi-campus movement in schools around Downey and Bellflower. Our mission is to guide students to Jesus, the True North, inviting them on a joyful, purposeful journey.

Through school clubs, student leaders, and church partners, we aim to reach, restore, and raise a new generation of leaders who follow Jesus. We do this with creative outreach, gospel-focused clubs, discipleship groups, and community service.

Last year, over 2,000 students heard the gospel, and over 500 chose to follow Christ. But our goal is more than numbers—it’s about raising disciples who make more disciples, transforming a generation to live boldly for Christ.

Compass is growing, and we’re inviting more schools, churches, volunteers, and supporters to join this mission—one student, one school, one city at a time.
